// YOGA TRAPEZE //
Centrally located, yet away from the intensity of the Las Vegas Strip, you will find peace and tranquility in my home studio. We will focus on bringing your body and mind into a balanced and empowered state, away from all distractions.
I tailor each class to your individual abilities and needs - whether you desire a more therapeutic session or one that will leave you sore (in a good way). No matter what your level, from total beginner to advanced athlete or yogi, together we will elevate your form!
YOGA TRAPEZE PRIVATES
The Yoga Trapeze method is ideal for those who want to relieve back pain, have fun, de-stress, improve flexibility, and try something new while benefiting from the time-tested principles of the traditional yoga workout.
What to expect:
In a typical Yoga Trapeze private, I will guide you from a mindful, 360 warm-up into core and upper body strengthening, inversions with spinal traction, active flexibility focusing on back, shoulders and hips, and finally, a suspended relaxation. While similar to mat-based yoga, the Yoga Trapeze uses gravity, and the support of the trapeze itself, to deepen stretches and decompress the spine in a way that regular yoga simply cannot. It will support you in achieving new levels of mobility while adding a stability challenge to traditional yoga postures, and strengthening your upper body in functional pathways.
PILATES REFORMER PRIVATES
The precise nature of this equipment-based method makes it versatile - ideal for those who are in the final stages of rehabilitation or dealing with other exercise restrictions, as well as anyone looking for a full-body workout that challenges coordination and encourages a balanced, empowered body.
What to expect:
In a typical Pilates Reformer private, I will guide you in aligning your breath and posture before progressing to leg work for both strength and hip mobility. Next, we activate your spine in all ranges of movement while targeting major muscle groups, and many of the small ones, with a focus on core. Similar to mat-based pilates, mindful movement and core stability are fundamental to the Reformer workout. What makes the Pilates Reformer unique, are the tension-loaded springs and moving carriage, which challenge your strength and stability in a wider range of motions and support the isolation of muscles that don't often get worked.
What I Bring to My Teaching :
As an aerial acrobat with Cirque du Soleil, I toured all over the world performing hundreds of routines in the air, but my journey to get there was not a conventional one! At 22 years old, I came into dance and aerial arts “late” which meant I had to supplement my training with a range of physical modalities and the expertise of elite coaches. Because of this, I have known what it is like to transform my body and make the "impossible" a reality. As a professional performer with a sustained career, I have also had to recover from multiple debilitating injuries that made me question if I would ever even walk properly again, let alone perform. Despite each of these physical set-backs, I made it back to performing at an elite level thanks to a rehabilitation program combining therapies with Pilates, Yoga, and weight training. I believe in the amazing tenacity of the body and I know our physical potential is often much greater then our perceptions. My job is to support you in reaching new levels of empowerment and well-being. Let's elevate your form!
